Job Description
- Construction Contracts Administrator
- The construction contract administrator is a professional who is responsible for administering the construction and building contracts. Construction contract administrator to perform the following duties:
- Analyze the contract terms and identify areas of possible risks and opportunities related to the application of contract clauses.
- Provide alternate mitigating contract articles and successfully negotiate with the Employer with compelling arguments.
- Safeguard company’s contract objectives.
- Contract administration during project execution, ensuring that all aspects of the contract during the execution phase are addressed with the objective of contributing to maximize project revenues.
- Liaise with project team, participate to meetings, examine drafts, revise and file all correspondence having a contractual relevance exchanged during project execution.
- Advise the Employer’s Commercial Department on aspects of Project execution which deviate from contract requirements.
- Processes or assists in the processing of stop notices, variation orders, and construction claims;· Coordinates resolution of protests, claims, disputes, and related issues. Provide insurance claims advice Review extension of time claims.
- Prepares reports and correspondence; and maintains files.
- Monitor and document all contractual disputes.
- Provide advice on contractual matters.
- Ensure that the construction program is progressing as per schedule.
- Approve progress claims and variations as required.
- Monitor all payment claims and ensure that they are fair and reasonable.
- Monitor the progress of the construction.
- Ensure that all contractor submittals are responded to within the contractual response duration.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 10-15 years.
- BA/BS degree in engineering
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast paced, independent environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
