Job Description
- Required A Concept Architectural Designer in Elgabaly Architects, you will be responsible for developing creative and innovative architectural concepts, designs and plans for projects implemented by Elgabaly Architects.
- Under the direction of the Sr. Director of Design, formulates plans for the development and construction of new resorts, themed destinations, attractions, and renovations across all Parks and Resorts.
- Directs and reviews Architectural design from outside firms as needed.
- Develop graphic and narrative reports on project sites and land planning.
- Develops drawings, sketches, master plans, models and creative design and planning solutions. Concept Development and subsequent phases of work.
- Responsible for designing able projects to project program, creative intent, schedule.
- Coordinate and drive all phases of design from initial design concept to installation.
- Develop preliminary design and coordinate with other team members through the subsequent design stages.
- Coordinate with project managers and production team to ensure the correct design plan.
- Manage all company-offered services including space planning, schematic design, design development, and furniture and finish selection.
- Effectively communicate design vision and aesthetic to junior staff members. Break down and delegate tasks; oversee design team progress and timelines.
- Create and maintain budgets for each project in Studio IT.
- Evaluate and make recommendations regarding scope, feasibility, staffing, scheduling and budget requirements of each project.
- Oversee integration of design services and furniture specifications to assure each project is viewed in total.
- Source products / services and prepare proposals for presentations to clients.
- Verify proposals created by the design team, and oversee timely sending and receipt of proposals, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for potential and ongoing projects.
- Confer with vendors, Principals and other designers during all stages of product development to ensure accurate production.
- Prepare floor, space, and furniture plans and elevations in AutoCAD, and produce hand drawings or computer renderings that communicate design intent.
- Prepare and maintain design plan documents such as finish schedules, specifications, product / room matrixes, templates, schedules.
- Oversee installation timelines .
- Maintain continual communication with Founder, Principals and design team regarding project timelines and orders, including the progress of custom orders, timing for fabric selections, workroom inspections, and other project-related information.
- Maintain all project-related information in paper filing systems, electronic folders, and Studio IT.
- Exhibits thorough understanding of project design philosophy and provides input in developing design strategies relative to assigned task or area of responsibility.
Job Requirements
- Skills & Qualifications:
- PhD or master degree architecture is required
- Minimum 15 years of experience in same position and wall know firms master degree or phd is preferable
- Ability to use ,Revit, Photoshop, AutoCAD.
- Very good in English
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
- The ability to communicate design ideas to the team.
- Proactive and ability to meet project timelines and client expectations a must..
- Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work independently as well as part of an effective team.
- Ability to assemble documentation into a presentation format utilizing Adobe Photoshop, Power Point and/or other digital formats.
- Possesses solid aesthetic sensibilities and storytelling skills to support the creative process and to facilitate positive and productive communication between all disciplines.
- Seeks creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks and develops associated research and documentation of solutions.
- Think creatively to produce ideas and concepts, work with a wide range of software including Revit.
- The ability to think conceptually as well as converse and lead design direction with clients & the project team
- Ability to produce concept designs at a level that would be perceived externally as excellent whilst adhering to the client’s and Head of department directives.
