Job Description
- Installation, configuration, and updating of Oracle server software and related product.
- Responsible for developing, design, analysis, maintain and support of specific Rainbow System and refine code for new software development and product enhancements based on requirements specification, using Oracle database.
- Take care of the Database design and implementation.
- Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles assign privileges)
- Perform database tuning and performance monitoring.
- Perform application tuning and performance monitoring.
- Setup and maintain documentation and standards.
- Perform general technical troubleshooting and give consultation to development teams.
- Interface with Oracle Corporation for technical support.
- Patch management and version control.
- Design, develop, document and strategically organize all technical development work in support of projects involving customer solutions.
- Provide technical support for bugs with Oracle, Java & PLSQL Apps.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and best practices in oracle and PLSQL related technologies and tools.
- Design, develop, and integrate highly complex database systems for internal and external users/clients.
- Investigate how software solutions might be used to provide solutions to business, technical or organizational problems and defining the requirements of such solutions.
- Design, produce, implement, update and maintain externally or internally software meeting the defined requirements.
- Validate, through various tests, that software meets the approved specifications and ensure that they are designed/assembled within operational or technical constraints.
- Provide support in the integration of software within a system.
- Analyze functional specifications, design and document technical specifications for data manipulation procedures.
- Work with DBA to ensure systems are performing at expected levels.
- Develop and maintain custom reports and queries.
- Performance tune queries and reports as required.
- Conduct multiple levels of testing including unit, system, integration, and performance.
- Translate end-use requirements and specifications into efficient executable programs.
- Develop and maintain technical requirements and design documentation.
- Support the Accounting Manager for the year-end closing procedures.
- Give technical and business support to Rainbow users in order to meet business and operational requirements
- Maintain the Oracle database – Backups, disaster recovery plan

Educational Background
- B.Sc. Degree in Information Technology
Technical Skills:
- Oracle forms and reports tool experience.
- Discoverer admin/report writing experience.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
