Job Description
- Create and complete bids/estimations/quotations. Ensuring that tenders are well documented, with appropriate level of detail and in a timely manner.
- Preparing technical- and commercial details, such as: prequalification documents, defining suitable technology, scope of work, data sheets, SLD’s, outline drawings, reference lists, price sheets, deviation lists, etc.
- Frequent status updates on bids/estimates/quotations
- Analyze the reasons for tenders being lost and won.
- Identifying potential technical- and commercial risks and chances for optimization.
- Maintaining internal- and external relationships, develop effective interdependent networks with other entities.
- Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the bidding process.
- Provides any necessary technical support to Sales Managers during technical meetings and bid clarifications with customers.
- Where appropriate, meet with customers, suppliers and sales engineers to provide input on technical/commercial issues.
- Where necessary, ensure that adequate pre-tender, tender and contractual support is provided to meet the needs of the customer base.
- Collaborate with ETO Factories and Supply Chain Management to coordinate requests to subcontractors
Job Requirements
Essential:
- Bachelor’s- or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- Solid understanding of: LV/MV switchgear and technology, electrical distribution, substation automation, transformers, Ehouses and containerized solutions.
- Fully PC literate
- Electrical Distribution drawing, design & simulation tools
- Fluent English, written and spoken
- Legal terms & conditions and financially aware
- Ability to work well within a team
- Strong time/project management skills
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
Desirable:
- 1 to 3 years working experience in tendering, engineering or sales, ideally in the Oil & Gas industry
- Knowledge of Industrial Process Automation (hardware, software)
- Prior working experience in Schneider Electric
- Knowledge of Schneider Electric’s switchgear product lines
