Job Description
- supports qualified business capture activities to include: site visits, demonstrations, proof of concepts
- undertakes data preparation tasks under the guidance of the information engineering specialists and/or technical lead
- demonstrates leadership in management of small-medium scale project work streams
- configures and/or customises core product and gateways / connectors and performs related unit testing
- contributes to technical project documentation deliverables, taking responsibility of accuracy and flow of content
- operates independently based on high level work descriptions. Prioritises activities based on impact to the project
- predicts obstacles in advance and works to prevent them by altering plans or creating new solutions
- employs fault diagnosis techniques to assess issues and provide solutions or workarounds
- manages own time effectively within the scope of work allocated and ensures timely delivery
- prepares and delivers training in support of project implementation to comprise standard materials and custom materials based on the delivered solution
- provides specialist product training in accordance with AVEVA’s global training procedures both in AVEVA training centres and at customer locations.
- provides AVEVA NET product support to local customers (dependent on location and local language)
Important Working Relationships:
- It is a pre-requisite to be able to function effectively as a member of a dynamic team within a matrixed organisation. Excellent communication skills will be required to develop good working relationships in the following areas:
- develops good working relationships with prospects/customers at the project level
- works closely with the AVEVA Project Manager to ensure successful delivery of the project, balancing customer satisfaction, project profitability and timelines
- works with the AVEVA support centre to assist in fault diagnosis and deployment of fixes in support of implementation work
- assists in coaching and transfer knowledge to new hires or AVEVA Offshore team members
Job Requirements
- 3-5 Years experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, to include EPCs and Owner Operators is preferred
- Demonstrates a sound background in several of the following: C#, .NET framework, JavaScript, XML, PowerShell, SQL, SSRS/SSIS, MS Office tools
- has a minimum of 5 years’ experience of solution delivery working in the Services organization of Software providers operating in the CAD, Document Management or Information Management markets.
- a Working knowledge of CAD file formats such as PDMS/DGN/DWG/PDS/SmartPlant would be an advantage .
- understands at a high-level the sales process for products and solutions.
- has experience of some elements of the complete project lifecycle for delivery of projects to include: scoping, requirements gathering, design, build, test, training and roll-out
- possess a broad IT knowledge to include: software design and development expertise in one of more current languages; relational database theory and physical design; good knowledge of client and server platforms; understands complementary technologies and applications and their integration
- operates effectively as a member of a dynamic team within a matrixed organisation, often working across multiple countries and time zones
- flexible to travel within the region and potentially more widely to perform project delivery and consultancy tasks to support business goals
- possesses excellent written and spoken English skills (Arabic advantageous)
- demonstrates sound presentation skills
- creates concise, clear documentation in support of Proposals and Projects
- invests in own self-study related to industry, software modules and supporting technologies
