Job Description

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

The Administrative Assistant will:

  • Performs complex secretarial duties independently Drafts and types correspondence in English and Arabic independently Drafts Agenda
  • Translates documents
  • Takes minutes of meeting and drafts reports
  • Ensures information flow within the department
  • Manage different databases
  • Support the organization of different activities taking place in Cairo and in the region

GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Ensures necessary administrative work is implemented on time;
  • Knows, applies and complies with all the administrative procedures linked to work (financial and HR such as appraisals, Time reporting, budget follow up, …etc);
  • Keeps files up-to-date at all times as detailed in the specific activities section;
  • Works closely with logistics and administration departments to make sure that the procedures are followed and the process is efficient (ex: ROs, working advance, cash receipt, travel requests).
  • The Administrative Assistant may also be asked to perform duties and tasks not covered in this job description as well as to provide support to other departments when necessary.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • University degree or professional diploma
  • 3 - 5 years of work experience in a similar field
  • Very good knowledge of written and spoken Arabic and English
  • Very good computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Capacity to carry out complex activities/files in various fields
  • The capacity of treating information confidentially.
  • Flexibility to travel abroad.
