Job Description

People Management:

  • Uses structured processes and best-practice methods (competency models, MBO/PBO process, development programs, etc), to recruit, select, develop and manage the performance of a team of professional employees. Ensures they have the capability to deliver robust and cost-effective marketing plans, solutions and programs that meet the immediate and longer-term needs of the business and its Customers.

Strategies and Tactics:

  • Develops and recommends strategies and tactics that correctly focus Telemarketing and Telesales on maximising revenues and reducing Customer churn rates within defined revenue segmentation bands. Provides direction and priorities to Telesales Management and/or Outsource providers in order to ensure the achievement of required growth/performance levels.

Market Position:

  • Ensures can correctly identify its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in multiple markets with differing market conditions. Develops and implements effective methods and tools to collate information on actual and proposed changes/trends within the business, proposed acquisition companies, competitor and business environment. Ensures correct evaluation of information and translation into effective business intelligence (service improvements, products, tactics, etc).
  • Revenue Planning - Leads the development of realistic but stretching revenue plans for each country, based on correct evaluation of local market data, business trends and customer level information. Reviews ongoing revenue performance and identifies and recommends actions that optimise revenue growth and reduces risk. Includes managing annual tariff price changes, and where needed implementing and conducting a similar revenue planning process for a domestic acquired business.

Program and Process Development:

  • Supports the development of pan regional marketing initiatives by providing local market expertise and where needed developing proposals for customised local solutions. Manages the deployment, including leading cross-functional teams in the effective execution and communication of required changes and/or external promotions. This includes advertising and brand programs, below-the-line initiatives, online-campaigns, sports marketing and other event programs. Takes appropriate actions to protect the brand in direct and non-direct served areas.

Business Expansion and Service Development:

  • Participates in the process of evaluating potential acquisition companies. Where an acquisition is progressed, establishes effective marketing activities that incorporate relevant factors (revenue performance, market potential, brand image, communications etc). Identifies and/or champions initiatives that drive new or improved service and achievement of the Customer Experience strategy (drop boxes, wine packaging, new capability etc). Includes implementing effective market and customer research, developing appropriate business recommendations involving relevant subject matter experts (P&E, Customer Services, Ops, FP&A etc) to ensure the solution is workable and implemented in accordance with agreed parameters.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in marketing or a related field
  • Very Good - Excellent Command of English
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as Marketing Manager
  • Experience in logistics/Courier is preferred
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Experience in Service industry is Highly preferred
  • Experience in a B2B industry
  • Experience/working knowledge in Branding, conducting Market Analysis & Market Research.
