Job Description
Job Purpose:
External Supply Pharma and Business Development Technical is a support function to External Supply Pharma and Business Development Pharma and Business Development which is part of Pharma Supply Chain and is responsible for the management of Rx CMO’s (contract manufacturing organizations) Globally. (Approximately 80 CMO Globally).
Main Key Responsibilities:
- The Technical Manager is responsible and accountable for the provision of technical support to all manufacturing and packaging related processes (covering all dose forms) within External Supply Pharma and Business Development Pharma.
- Work with a multi-functional team of Procurement, Regulatory (incl. GPAR), Technical, Finance, Supply, Global Project SS and Quality professionals across the Global network.
- Under the direction of a Technical Director – External Supply Pharma and Business Development, the Technical Manager, exercises the key technical and professional skills to effectively manage the technical interface with new and existing external Contract Manufacturers.
Responsible for :
- Technical support,
- Knowledge management,
- Technical aspects of New product introduction and Product transfers,
- Issue identification and resolution.
Job Requirements
Knowledge/ Education / Previous Experience Required:
- University bachelor's degree or equivalent in Pharmacy / Chemistry / Engineering.
- 10 years' experience in production / technical Operational support covering multiple Dose-Forms and Technologies
- Good knowledge and experience in small molecule processing & scale up, technology transfer, process validation, control strategy development, technical risk assessments and product lifecycle management is preferred.
- Good Knowledge of regulatory requirements for small molecule/ manufacture, including principles of quality by design.
- Self-Motivated person with strong presentation skills.
- Strong production knowledge and decision-making skills.
- Excellent Analytical skills.
- High level of flexibility and adaptability as the technical manager will operate with all levels in the organization.
