Job Description
- Monitor the acquisition of the data through UD’s different data collection channels and constantly update its database/data systems
- Provide technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing
- Analyze and interpret the data using Statistical techniques to provide understanding and intuition to the various business departments
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in UD’s data set to develop insights regarding the nature of the business and recommend future improvement opportunities for the upper management
- Communicate effectively to report and present findings to appropriate business units
Job Requirements
- Possess excellent knowledge of computer software and tools such as scripting language (Matlab, Python), Querying Language (SQL, Hive, Pig), Spreadsheet (Excel) and data visualization platforms (Sisense, Zoho analytics, Tableau).
- Strong knowledge of Statistics and experience using Statistical packages and languages such as SAS, R, SPSS to analyze data sets. A background in machine learning is highly recommended
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and, communication skills
- Ability to work independently and to organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent
- Proficiency in the English language is highly recommended
