Job Description
- Updates company fire & safety regulations and recommends amendments as necessary to cope with modified international code and standards.
- Attends to emergencies / accidents and provides technical consultations, conducts investigation and follow – up on corrective actions of potential safety problems.
- Ensure that all life saving safety equipment within the premises is to the current standards.
- Review company projects and technical procedures to ensure compliance with safety related polices & procedures.
- Supervise and controls assigned company personnel involved in the investigation of accidents, ensuring the application of safety code of practice in this regard and carry out the necessary analysis & recommends the necessary action to be taken in each case.
- Accompanies inspectors from governmental agencies (e.g. Civil defense, Labor office and insurance companies) on surveys and audit of the plant. Review any reports of discrepancies and initiates action for their correction.
- Implantation and maintaining of OHSAS 18001 (Safety Management System Certification) inside the factory.
- Plan and coordinate safety training and conduct some safety training such as risk assessment, accidents and incidents reports, and OHSAS awareness.
- Incident & Accident investigation, analysis and promote zero accidents culture inside the factory.
- Make risk assessments studies and follow up with the recommendation of the study to minimize hazard inside the work place.
- review and revise the risk assessment study , action plans , accidents and incidents investigation
- Ensure that fire detection, fighting automatic systems are up to standards including preventive maintenance.
- Follow up the emergency plan, fire drills, safety committee meetings, safety checks and monitoring programs are in place.
Job Requirements
Education:
- B. Sc of Engineering / equivalent B.Sc
