Job Description
- Meeting external clients or colleagues to discuss the design brief.
- Responsible for the product design process from the sketches making till the execution of the final product.
- Works on sampling and prototype (putting into consideration applicability, usability and cost)
- Coordinate with internal operations, sales and marketing departments for developing the right product.
- Presenting samples to marketing team to get final approval
- Integrating with purchasing to find 3rd party for production
- Integrating with production department to put and review SOP’S (standard operations procedures) ON quarterly basis production, quality and supply chain creation
- Updating existing products
- Sampling & prototype
- SOP’s & Technical files
- Understanding new trends of technology, production methods and materials (such as textiles, metals and plastics) and decide on most efficient production method.
- Product analysis and Development:
- Conducting Research
- Developing existing products (quality and cost)
- Creating new products (meet market’s vision)
- Receiving a Brief from marketing team
- Creating product on program
- Supervise over and execute the whole process new product launch through outsourced factories.
- Scan the market for most matching external suppliers in terms of quality, specifications and budget.
- Researching for new trends and gaps in the market that the company could benefit of.
- Ordering samples or working models of designs from outsourced factories.
- Overseeing the whole testing process of the chosen design and reedit till it becomes the final product
Job Requirements
- Solid Interior Design background
- 2-3 years of experience
- Ability to design and create new products
- Advanced skills in Autocad, 3dmax, photoshop, & maya
