Cosmetics R&D Supervisor / Manager / Chemist

Main Job Duties

• Develop or reverse engineer cosmetic products (Creams, Masks, Shampoos, Lotions, Conditioner, etc.)
• Successfully contribute to expanding formulations
• Responsible for creating ingredient list and approval forms
• Responsible for preparing formula cost
• Manage projects based on product briefs and development requests
• Help to develop lab technicians with hands on training on formulation and general industry and laboratory standards
• Keep time schedule for submissions to customers, formula evaluation, pilot schedule, stability, safety testing, etc…
• Responsible for successful R&D contributions
• Communicate to direct supervisor any issue related to project feasibility
• Meet and correspond with suppliers as planned by supervisor
• Interact with Manufacturing, Production, Purchasing and QA/QC Department if necessary
• Manufacturing support
• Maintain laboratory safety standards
• Perform routine analytical and physical tests
• Ensure that customers’ expectations are met/exceeded
• Performs any other duties or tasks that may be required of you by the company
• Promotes and demonstrates behavior consistent with the company’s core values and policies
