- Key job responsibilities:
- Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
- Investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents.
- Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
- Recognizes problems by identifying abnormalities; reporting violations.
- Monitor for attacks, intrusions and unusual, unauthorised or illegal activity.
- Secure digital files and information systems, protecting them from unauthorized access or tampering.
- Work with security team to perform tests and uncover network vulnerabilities.
- Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard.
- Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them.
- Understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding business impact.
- Perform regular internal and external security audits.
- Determine, adapt, and maintain corporate security procedures and policies. meet with stakeholders in relation to cyber security issues and provide future recommendations.
- Assist with the creation, maintenance and delivery of cyber security awareness training for
- colleagues.
- Develop company-wide best practices for IT security.
- Maintain an information security risk register and assist with internal and external audits relating to information security.
- Determines security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
- Protects system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources.
Job Requirements
- Certified CEH, OSCP or any other security certificates is preferred
- Experience with computer network penetration testing and techniques.
- Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, FIM, antivirus, and IDPS concepts.
- Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards.
- ITIL Foundation is preferred.
- Has a good knowledge with PCI-DSS standards / ISO 27K.
- Educational Background
- B.Sc. in the field of Computer Science or communication Engineering
- ITI certificate is an added plus
- Professional Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in information security / Network
