Job Description

  • Feeder Manager is responsible to plan & execute the WCA Feeder Network in the most efficient manner for both Feeder own and foreign feeders.
  • This position is responsible for facilitating and driving performance of 3rd party feeders in WCA region for Maersk. The Feeder Manager Role for third party Feeders will be the natural touch-point for all performance related matters between the shipping line and the feeder vendors. The Job therefore entails ensuring good communication and alignment of expectations between relevant parties.
  • Work closely with Feeder Procurement Manager to drive cost leadership and actively participates and assist feeder procurement team in feeder negotiations
  • Feeder Manager expected to set standards, measure performance, and conduct performance improvement meetings with vendors, and follow up on action items to drive up feeder schedule reliability to set targets.
  • Data quality - ensure our systems are always updated with the latest schedule information from our vendors, as well as the updates of actual vessels arrival and departure
  • Monitoring & Manage all the feeder network within the WCA Geography
  • Assist in framing Service Level Agreements for all Foreign feeder operators within WCA geography
  • Lead and drive Feeder performance in WCA
  • Establish and implement Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI) and standard execution framework for 3rd party feeder operator
  • Drive the “On-Time Delivery” of cargo shipped on the feeder network within geographical scope.
  • Conduct regular meetings with vendors and internal stakeholders to discuss issues and structurally review progress on improvement plans, etc in order to achieve desired SR and address any other vendor performance issue, particularly in collaboration with capacity and cargo departments
  • Responsible for evaluating foreign feeder (FEF) schedule robustness in close cooperation with other WCA departments.
  • Establish, maintain and develop excellent relationship with relevant external and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure avoidance of cost increases due to delayed third party feeders
  • Ensure that any changes to schedules or other factors of relevance to all stake holders within the MAERSK network are communicated timely and accurately.
  • At all times to keep your Manager updated on matters of daily operations and on any matters of principles
  • Reinforce APM Group culture, values and reputation and ensure compliance with APM Group policies in all aspects of your daily work.
  • Drive Bunker optimization on FEO, always aiming at stable schedule reliability and port productivity.

Job Requirements

  • Should have university degree,
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the fleet, liner operations or terminal operations.
  • Strong leadership –value based-,systemic Mindset/approach
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills including fluent in English
