Job Description

  • Responsible for coordinating, making recommendations, and implementing the established data procedures in all used applications/systems to make sure that they are updated, complete and accurate.
  • The coordinator is one of the primary testers of new student system and enhancements for the units and will be responsible for creating test scripts and cases to supplement those prepared by the University Information Technology staff.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with teammates, external contractors, and vendors to ensure that applications/systems help the organization to function effectively.
  • Support data import/export and synchronizations to/from information systems to ensure org-wide data integrity.
  • Assist system administrators and software developers to ensure efficient and effective operation of the organization’s overall data and systems operations.
  • Develop and improve support documentation based on learning.
  • Responsible for applications/systems testing to determine whether they are generating expected results and reports.
  • The coordinator is responsible for making sure all of the official course/students/faculty information is uploaded, edited and maintained as needed in the used applications/systems.
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of the Fall, Spring and Summer semester course schedules in the used applications/systems
  • Creation and maintenance of locations, resources, organizations, and user account information.
  • Responsible for room reservations.
  • Final and midterm exams setup for academic terms.

Job Requirements

  • SQL-SSRS Reporting experience is a must
  • Thrive on diagnosing and resolving technical and process problems, helping people use software more effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new software and effectively share knowledge with others.
  • Familiarity with information systems used to facilitate data capture, reporting and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multi-task and efficiently manage workload.
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal).
  • Flexibility and willingness to pitch-in as needed as part of the technology team.
  • High capacity to multitask, organize, prioritize, and pay attention to detail.
  • Ability to execute all tasks and responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of student records.
  • Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to develop and maintain record-keeping systems for various documents.
  • Ability to develop competency in troubleshooting inaccuracies in large databases.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology is preferred.
