Job Description

Main Purpose:

  • The Control & Reporting – Senior Analyst Costing is responsible to ensure completeness of financial transactions provided by IBM team and adhere to reporting guidelines. Prepare detailed monthly analysis and closely interact with operations, sales and regional teams to identify business opportunities & better utilize SAP system.


Accountabilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Manage to cost process for Beverages businesses during month-end and its related month-end transactions
  • Ensure accuracy direct material and MOH (Manufacturing Overhead) reporting in accordance with PepsiCo Inventory policies and US GAAP.
  • Lead IBM team to deliver all costing deliverables and meet reporting requirements as per agreed DTP (Desktop Procedures).
  • Prepare monthly Costing reports which include:
    1. Analyze material revaluation account.
    2. Analyze Purchase Price Variance (PPV) actual results with Cause of Change (COC) by the material.
    3. Review MOH bookings among manufacturing cost centres.
    4. Review MOH allocation among factories, brands & categories via reviewing allocation cycles.
    5. Compare MOH with production volume & follow up on significant deviations.
    6. Analyze direct labour cost per plant & compare with production volume.
    7. Standard cost updates vs. previous month and justifies the differences.
    8. Check accuracy of the standard costing calculation and validate the planning calculation with the system calculation for FG.
  • Manage monthly review of Materials Usage Variance by material, plant & category which include:
    1. Monthly Material Usage Variance (MUV) report comparing actual consumption by material, category & plant to both operation and R&D teams.
    2. Monthly meeting with operations and R&D team to discuss variances & variances percentages to identify current inefficiencies and agree on corrective actions.
    3. Communication of agreed action plan to management in addition to following up on its implementation across all plants.
    4. Analyze cost per raw case.
    5. Cause of change month over month and year over year business rational.
  • Provide business recommendations on a monthly basis for finished goods based on actual activity rate analysis (MOH & labour analysis) and support in balance sheet analysis for Snacks.
  • Manage SAP actualization process including SAP/non SAP checkpoints and accounts reconciliation.

Performance Management Reviews:

  • Ensure correctness of the following on SAP for Snacks:
    • Material master data of any materials.
    • Bill of Material (BOM) changes/creation whether for standard or production version.
    • Current BOM’s on SAP is up to standard and up to date.
  • Review SAP standard cost release (raw material, packaging material and finished goods).
  • Work closely with business partners to support productivity initiatives.

Audit & Compliance:

  • Support both external and internal audit on costing related requests.
  • Ensure business compliance with Statutory, Legal and Taxation requirements, PepsiCo corporate and local business policies & procedures, and ethical business practices.
  • Partner with BPO (Business process Owner) and CO (Control Owner) in GCS and Fraud risk assessment, monitoring self-testing and remediation of failures. Update GCS for MIM process.
  • Deliver testing for costing GCS related controls.
  • Ensure timely closure of:
    1. Internal audit remediation and track progress.
    2. BAIC issues.

Planning and Forecasting:

  • Prepare required analysis for Supply chain and planning finance to develop and track fina

Job Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance. A postgraduate qualification is preferable.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in costing & plant accounting.
  • Leadership experience and capability. Solid understanding of business levers.
  • Change management experience coupled with good analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, cross-geographically and across multiple cultures.
  • Strong internal and external communicator, influencer, and negotiator.
  • Ability to set and prioritize short, mid and long term objectives.
  • Partnering & influencing senior stakeholders (Plants managers).
