Job Description

Position Summary:

AMIDEAST Egypt seeks a curriculum developer for the Youth Entrepreunership Program II as part of the multi-country Skills for Success initiative. The curriculum developer would develop and deliver engaging, dynamic content for a 1.5-month long entrepreneurship training which would be delivered to the participants of the program over a series of weekends.

Tasks and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop entrepreneurship training material for the Youth Entrepreneurship Program based on the needs and expectations of AMIDEAST (ie. training manual - trainer’s guide and trainee’s manual; handouts; and PowerPoint presentation)
  • Incorporate feedback and make necessary adjustments to training material;
  • Provide demos/induction sessions to other trainers about the training material or support if needed;
  • Meet with the Exchange Programs Specialist to provide and receive feedback, incorporate needed adjustments, and plan for the next activities/sessions;
  • Attend all relevant meetings with Exchange Programs Specialist as requested;
  • Maintain high level of professionalism and qualified appearance at all times; and
  • Deliver all or part of training,

Job Requirements

Deliverables:

  • Interactive training manual (trainer’s guide and trainees’ manual) for each training module including:
  • The foundational knowledge manual required for understanding the content of this training module or activity;
  • The module’s step by step learning activities, case studies and learning aides;
  • In some selected modules, whenever needed, the First Party shall customize mini case studies (1-2 pages), based on real-life startup cases in Egypt to help participants associate what they have learnt and apply the concepts learned on real cases; and
  • Handouts providing either additional activities if needed or elaboration on the module content.
  • Essential entrepreneurship topics and templates:
  • Business Planning and Business Model Canvas.
  • Design Thinking
  • Developing Marketing Plans, Introduction to Digital Marketing
  • Developing Financial Plans
  • Operational Management
  • Lean Start-Ups
  • Validation
  • Pitching and Seeking Investments
  • PowerPoint for instruction
  • PowerPoint aligned with the participant and trainer manual to present the activities in the session
  • Slide notes including essential comments for the instructor will be provided as needed.

One rough draft and a final draft of the following items to be provided to the Exchange Programs Specialist upon request and within the designated timeframe as agreed.

  • Interactive training manual (trainer’s guide and trainee’s manual).
  • Student handouts.
  • PowerPoint for instructions purposes.
