Job Description
- Develop the budget, annual strategic and programs plans of the department in line with the company strategy.
- Set & evaluate department KPIs.
- SWAT analysis and resource planning (recruit, motivate, organize training and manage new staff).
- Train to staff and implements knowledge transfer program.
- Develop second line and ensure for the same for subordinate.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice manufacturing vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
- Focus on growing business and revenue by implementing necessary improvement to product/production line to enter new markets or grow existing territories.
- Drive process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by appropriate data analysis
- Working closely with R&D and coordinating with them to get the approval of alternative products by aligning with company objectives and highlighting the risk of higher cost and supply risk of keeping single source.
- Effectively and efficiently manage the production of the required daily/weekly/monthly targets in line with customer specifications, meeting quality and delivery expectations, minimizing costs where possible and ensure the required best working practices are maintained at all times.
- Be involved in the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage. Also be involved with product design and purchasing.
- Ensure the consumption of the RM and PM as per the BOM.
- Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
- Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors in coordination with safety manager.
- Regular Analyze budgets and continuously control production costs and identify/rectify waste measures.
- Conduct stakeholders (Sales, Procurements, Maintenance ... etc.) meeting as required.
- Planning and organizing production schedules.
- Six sigma approach & completion of Improvement projects as per target.
- Preparation of monthly production statement for of Plants and plant specific BSC data.
- Cost control in operations by controlling the use of Utilities items and implementation of the same in the cost sheet of products ensuring better profitability control of the outflow of Effluent from the Plants.
- Ensuring proper maintenance of all the norms as per the departmental operating procedures of ISO 9001/ TS 16949 - as per new guidelines.
- Adherence to PPE usage of the plant personnel and the Work Permit system is properly followed.
- Regular documentation reporting.
- Achieving & maintaining OTIF in a high level.
- Performing any other job-related tasks as assigned by the direct manager.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Bachelor of Science/Engineering, BSc.(preferably Chemistry)
- Diploma in Material Management.
Experience
- 10+ years of working in similar capacity in paint or in chemical manufacturing industry.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of Paints Process.
- MS office skills.
- 3M management (Machine, Material and Manpower).
- V Good English skills.
- Good financial knowledge.
