Job Description

Reporting Line:

Working closely with and reporting to the Regional Vice President and General Manager, the Hotel Manager is responsible for strategically managing all aspects of our hotel operations

Responsibilities:

  • The Hotel Manager will provide leadership and management for all operational Hotel employees: directly responsible for key management personnel and indirectly for other managers and non-management employees.
  • Accepts responsibility for the health, safety and welfare of the Hotel guests and employees.
  • Is accountable for all employee actions, assets, and personal property and the end results of their use.
  • Represent the hotel to civic, business, industry and local government.
  • Maintain a solid working relationship with the Hotel Owners and participate in Owner’s meetings.
  • Personally meet and interact with guests, review all written guest comments and follow up on any guest service issues or needs. Oversee preventive maintenance programs such as “Perfect Room” initiative.
  • Capable of mentoring and driving direct reports to achieve excellence and professional growth
  • Assume the role of Hotel Spokesperson in the absence of the General Manager in any emergency or crisis situation.
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by the General Manager or Four Seasons Home Office.

Job Requirements

Key Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related education
  • 3 years of experience in the same role in international luxury hotel chains
  • Proficiency in English is a must
  • A leadership style that is authentic, engaging and strategic, based on identified business priorities
  • Ability to develop and assess others
  • High degree of analytical abilities
  • Strong Relationship Management skills
  • Impeccable communication, problem solving and influencing skills
  • Strong knowledge of all areas of the hotel, within a luxury, high volume operation
  • Some travel is required for training, conferences and recruitment
