Job Description

  • Taking full responsibility for ensuring that all airline meals and in-flight products are dispatched to airlines on time according to the agreed IFS Process and service level standards;
  • Ensuring excellent working knowledge of department services, catering services, menu planning, supplier capabilities, etc.
  • Planning monthly IFS activities according to bi-monthly SGI flight schedule by filling in “IFS Action Plan” and “Company Flights Uplifts” documentation and confirming with IFS Manager and top management.
  • Sending monthly flight schedule to the catering suppliers and handling agents
  • Following up and sending any SCHD updates to all the above parties involved.
  • Following up and updated Pax numbers to all the above parties involved.
  • Managing catering orders each Sun for the upcoming week of flights, following up with the catering suppliers for confirmation and any changes required and overseeing the execution of service in coordination with OPS team and suppliers, as applicable.
  • Ensuring all special requested meals are prepared and supplied according to passengers’ requirements.
  • Communicating with an airline about any issues after the performed flights (Pax complaints, catering quality, issues with catering process, etc.) weekly or after the specific flight(s).
  • Following up the delivery of soft and printed copies of invoices.
  • Reviewing and confirming the invoices with the signature and providing the final data to the accounting team for further review and payments.
  • Collaborating and trouble-shooting problems with other team members, suppliers, and management in support of customers/teams.
  • Managing supplier relationships; on-boarding new suppliers and providing details on IFS processes and protocols; regularly performing quality control/assessment of services and food. Providing feedback on quality/execution based on customer and team feedback. Escalating issues when needed.
  • Adding value to the customer experience through critical thinking, anticipating B2B clients and passengers’ needs and offering additional services/support, if appropriate.
  • Ensuring that all IFS documentation is up-to-date according to company and ISO standards.
  • Performing other tasks and special projects as required or as assigned by the management team.
  • Monitoring the monthly consumption of in-flight service products, such as headrests, onboard sales menu, coloring books for kids, etc.
  • Communicating with the marketing team for any in-flight products required or available stock updates.
  • Coordinating with OPS team concerning modifications of technical/operational procedures.
  • Ensuring that airline cabin crew/language speakers receive the required training, guidance and support necessary to deliver superior in-flight service resulting in customer satisfaction.
  • Planning the monthly schedule of language speakers
  • Following up flight performance from Cabin Crew/Language Speaker flight reports.
