Senior Logistics & Operation Planning Specialist

Job Description:

• Plan, direct, or coordinate material flow, warehousing, forecasting, customer service; issue and develop an operations plan for business units to achieve company goals. Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer services.
• Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle.
• Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
• Arrange warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments
• Develop an operations plan for business units to achieve company goals.
• Optimize operations plan to meet changing business needs.
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost optimization initiatives.
• Resolve any arising problems or complaints
• Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
• Create policies or procedures for logistics activities.
• Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
• Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
• Negotiate transportation rates or services, to achieve purchase feasibility.
• Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.
• Direct distribution centre operation to ensure achievement of cost, productivity, accuracy, or timeliness objectives.
• Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
• Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.
• Review global, national, or regional transportation or logistics reports for ways to improve efficiency or minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities
• Issue logistics and planning status periodically reports.
