Job Description

  • KONE Middle East & Africa is embarking upon an exciting growth phase through direct presence in 10 countries and more than 60 distributor markets within the region. To complement our growth plans, the Project Planner is considered to be a strategic priority for our business.

  • Reporting directly to the Major Projects Director, we are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Projects Planner to be based in Cairo, Egypt. In this role, you will proactively support sales & projects functions by creating project schedules and related support material for use in KONE estimates and proposals.

  • We are looking for somebody who understands how to partner and collaborate with the business with an analytical mindset and a strong business acumen.

What will you do?

  • Design, construct and maintain cost and resource loaded schedules for projects in execution and pro-actively highlight resource and time challenges in meeting schedule requirements
  • Interact with customers when needed to clearly understand overall project requirements and milestones in order to integrate master schedules with those specific to KONE scope
  • Bridge potential misalignment between KONE Supply Line and Front Line by actively checking project schedules and identifying and suggesting corrective actions
  • Assist Project Managers in the development and maintenance of existing schedules, performing critical path, acceleration and gap analysis as required
  • Maintain accurate records of schedule development through the lifetime of the project
  • Contribute in the development of planning processes and best practices and assist with their implementation. Guide, support and train project teams in their application

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree, preferably in engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in project planning in the construction sector is a must
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Project and Primavera is required
  • Excellent presentation & analytical skills
  • Fluency in Arabic & English languages
  • Ability to collaborate, multitask and handle changing projects requirements
