About The Position
- As part of the Audit department, this person will be specifically responsible for managing the end to end Audits for IT Applications. You will effectively appraise computer systems and networks, evaluate the suitability, security, integrity, adequacy, efficiency and effectiveness to ensure that the systems fulfil the user/business requirements and have adequate security and controls built-in.
Responsibilities Include
Existing Systems:
- Evaluate existing computer systems and ensuring its confidentiality, security, integrity, availability, compliance, effectiveness and efficiency
System Configuration
- Examine system configuration settings to ensure that the systems are configured in accordance with the requirements
Authorisations
- Review Application and associated Database, Operating System and Network Administration authorisations to ensure proper security, control, confidentiality and segregation of duties are maintained in the system
Security Architecture
- Review the adequacy of the IT security architecture to protect unauthorised access to the Group's internal computer resources
New Systems
- Review various phases of the system development life cycle to ensure that the new systems and upgrades have adequate security/controls built in and fulfil the user/business requirements
IT Assets
- Ensure that IT assets and facilities are adequately safeguarded and verify existence and optimal utilization of all information system assets
Special Assignments
- Perform/participate in any special assignments, i.e. review/study audits or investigations in order to evaluate a specific situation
- This role will require travel around the Region.
Job Requirements
About You
- To be eligible for this position we require a CISA qualified candidate. Candidates should have 5-6 years post qualification experience in IT with a minimum of 2 years experience in IT Application Audit.
- We would prefer candidates with SAP audit experience and those who have worked in large companies.
