Job Description
- Provide psychological assessment, including intellectual, behavioral, and personality
- Provide short term personal counseling services with appropriate psychotherapy plan for students.
- Provide individual psychotherapy, psychoeducation, consultation, and crisis intervention services to students, staff, and faculty
- Conduct psychoeducation training programs for students, and for faculty and staff to recognize and handle students in distress
- Serve as co-chair of the Student Conduct Committee; maintain conducts records, and (if need be), suggest amendments to Student Conduct policies
- Conduct new intake interviews with the admissions team, administer psychometric and personality tests and suggest other appropriate criteria for selection
- Serve as professional advisor in student developmental programs as well as co-curricular activities
- Maintain records and case notes in keeping with legal, ethical and professional standards of care
Job Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in a behavioral, social science, or psychology field
- BA in Psychology, or Psychiatry. MA in Counseling or Clinical Psychology is an asset
- Three to five years, experience in mentoring, counseling or psychotherapy
