Job Description

  • Establish, evaluate, and select suppliers to develop a qualified supplier base;
  • Review and evaluate monthly global sourcing data to make decisions that support company direction and growth;
  • Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority;
  • Manage contracts to verify vendor compliance to contract requirements;
  • Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action;
  • Performance review of suppliers for quality, delivery and reliability;
  • Establish long-term agreements with suppliers;
  • Support major procurement activities including procurement of capital equipment and new projects;
  • Maintain procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs,Perform cost analysis to identify opportunities.
  • Execute on approved cost reduction projects. Maintain and measure cost reduction projects in VIP tracker. Work with suppliers to resolve price and invoice discrepancies.
  • Monitor and drive supplier performance for assigned categories to ensure suppliers are meeting Polaris requirements for delivery and costing
  • Help support part shortages and delivery issues when necessary
  • Perform other such duties as may be required

Job Requirements

International Sourcing Specialist

  • 5 to 7 years of experience in Furniture (office furniture)
  • Bachelor Degree in business administration, supply chain management or international business
  • (MBA is Preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of import regulations and documentations
  • Experience in international exhibitions as visitor or exhibitor
  • Previous work experience with manufactures and companies in Europe and Far East
  • Fluent in English
  • Communication skills
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Excellent in M.s Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
