Job Description

  • Ensure that Procurement plans are regularly reviewed and produce management reports on status of key deliverables.
  • Maintain appropriate metrics for Procurement activities in support of the project and report status and recovery actions.
  • Responsible for supporting and manufacturing operations with a steady and uninterrupted flow of materials on a regular basis and proactive planning of all procurement activities.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining clear and effective procurement policies and procedures.
  • Resolve major/systemic purchasing issues affecting order management and supply chain performance.
  • Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to identify opportunities to reduce overall purchasing costs.
  • Directing and maintaining both short and long-term purchasing agreements with suppliers.
  • Responsible for coordinating key supplier visits and associated meetings to discuss current business performance relating to competitive unit pricing.
  • Facilitate implementation of contracts with suppliers to ensure flexibility in pricing and production schedules.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of purchasing staff to ensure that the team’s resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.
  • Collaborate with the HR department in the recruitment and staffing process and ensure the selection of highly qualified employees in the right positions/jobs.
  • Liaise with the Logistics department in order to establish and maintain effective and relevant import activities and support in relation to the Company's sales, procurement, materials management, production and overall operating functions.
  • Ensures that the Logistics department is promptly fed with shipments’ details and information, follow up on customs clearances till the arrival of goods to the Company’s warehouses.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in the procurement and 2 years in a Managerial level.
  • Languages: Excellent command of English.
