Job Description

Job Description
- Make bank reconciliations and review accounts statements
- Calculate, print and submit sales tax
- Make salaries monthly
- Calculate commissions for employees
- Make and manage bills
- Review operating expenses
- Direct accounting entries accurately
- Review all accounts and balances (clients - agents - transport contractors - airlines)
- Add new accounts to the accounting tree
- Review employees’ petty cash amounts and record expenses
- Review all documents and work assigned to the accounting department
- Handle cash receipts and warrants payable
- Follow and print cash movements
- Record daily accounting entries on the company's software
- Archive all documents
- Follow-up on customers for collection
- Write and follow up on external transfers and review clients’ / agents’ invoices
- Make an inventory of profits, debts and amounts due to the company on weekly basis
- Provide a graph showing profit / loss for any period
- Preparation of financial statements
- Submission of error-free reports, presenting and explaining then to the Board of Directors monthly / annually
Job Requirements
- Maximum age is 40
- Have at least 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a freight company
- Have excellent analytical skills
- Honest
- Have good English
- Highly detail-oriented and organized
- Can meet a constant stream of deadlines
- Has excellent time management skills
