Job Description

  • Assist the Student Life Manager in developing, implementing, and managing student activities, plans, policies, and services which support and cater to student needs and the university’s mission, vision and goals.
  • Assist in determining and interpreting student life needs on an individual and collective basis; advise students and resolve problems as necessary.
  • Assist in organizing on and off-campus activities such as sports tournaments, trips and
  • international events where other universities might be competing.
  • Assist in designing, developing, and facilitating a wide range of workshops, seminars, training sessions, and retreats for students and staff.
  • Assist in supervising and managing the budget for major student events, conferences, trips and concerts, and perform cost analyses and reviews.
  • Participate in recruiting students for major university functions and activities, and in planning developmental workshops, and presentations for the chosen teams.
  • Assist in conducting focus group, surveys and assessments to evaluate the effectiveness and student satisfaction for the programs offered.
  • Coordinate peer tutoring, guidance and advocate for students in all aspects of student life
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with proven ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Excellent command of Arabic and English languages, both orally and in writing.
  • Team player, who is capable of fostering a cooperative and amiable work environment.
  • Creative thinker, flexible, willing to travel and ready to work under pressure
  • Strong knowledge of student development theories, strategies, and practices in a collegiate environment.
