Job Description

The Account Manager (AM) is responsible for managing an account effectively and profitably by planning for and organizing all areas relevant to development and execution of projects. This includes ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the account and ensuring great creative ideas are executed professionally and deployed successfully.

Client / Inter-Agency Relationships:

  • Developing effective relationships with the key stakeholders on the client account, ensuring regular client contact and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Be able to diplomatically challenge the client with reasoned arguments and thinking.
  • Be an efficient, respected and reliable “interface” between agency teams at all levels.

Project Management:

  • Follow the agency processes to ensure jobs are successfully managed through the agency.
  • Ensure effective briefs are created and signed off by the client and relevant teams are effectively briefed.
  • Work closely with internal agency departments and 3rd parties to ensure timescales and budgets are met on all jobs.
  • Keeps Media Team /Planning Team and Creative Team supplied with any information/stimulus about the brand or market that may be useful in the development process.

Financial Management:

  • Maintaining a solid financial process ensuring efficient utilization of time across departments.
  • Demonstrate cost awareness on jobs being managed and raise any concerns to line manager.

Client Knowledge:

  • Have a strong understanding of the Client’s business and how it operates such that they are able to gather information effectively and quickly in support of the factual detail of each brief.
  • Co-ordinate competitive reviews and out of category analysis
  • Team Management.
  • Ensure high quality work of the account team and provide on the job training and mentoring for subordinates, In conjunction with HR
