Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Perform operations tasks for Epic 2015 IU2
  • Plan Upgrade/Migrate and Test Epic Cache Database from version EPIC 2015 IU2 to EPIC February 2019.
  • Conduct planning and design sessions with the customer and Epic technical teams
  • Provide subject matter expertise in interacting with Epic and the customer
  • Follow the Epic upgrade guidelines and use Epic best practices for performing the upgrade and migration
  • Implement all required database instances. This includes high availability and disaster recovery including Cache logical data replication;
  • Perform migration from EPIC 2015 IU2 to EPIC February 2019. This will include non-production and production migration and rehearsals. (The migration strategy will be designed as part of the engagement by you).
  • Requirements Gathering Matrix based on Epic Upgrade Guidelines
  • Update to existing Low Level Design for Epic 2017
  • Migration strategy and migration schedule for Epic 2014 to 2017
  • Execute upgrade/migration based on approved low level design and Epic best practices
  • Update Low Level Design and Service Operations Manual
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer.

Job Requirements

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Min 6 years of Epic Operational Database Administrator Systems Manager experience.
  • Highly skilled & experienced Epic Operational Database Administrator Systems Manager with demonstrated success in information technology consulting, Bridges interface design, Cache System support, and Chronicles Data Reporting.
  • Manager/Lead/Team Member on Epic implementation and upgrade projects.
  • Worked with Clinical and Business Stakeholders to plan and optimize Epic initiatives balancing clinical and business function with PHI data protection and MU requirements.
  • Automated and streamlined operation. Team-developed & implemented innovative RBAC Epic and AD security strategies, eligibility, billing, orders, and clinical processes.
  • Developed Ksh, Cachè, Powers hell and vbscript automation to manage mobile print devices and backed workflows. Planned - Environment upgrade and testing strategy and managed/scripted refresh processes.
