Job Description
- NTC is looking to expand our Sales Engineering Team specific to our Data Center Practice.
- We are specifically seeking an experienced, performance-driven engineer who is seeking a dynamic pre-sales opportunity where you take ownership of the overall technical direction and growth customers.
- You’ve got to be a strategic player who can assist with driving activities, opportunities, and business for the overall success and revenue of our Data Center solutions. If you’re a data center engineer who has a knack for communicating with customers in order to truly understand, define and articulate their business needs in order to create the best data center solution, Force 3 is looking for you!
- As a Data Center pre-sales engineer, you will be responsible for technical Pre-Sales Consulting and building relationships with our customers.
- You will also need to be creative and drive initiatives with our sales teams to evangelize the practice and solutions we provide.
Your specific duties as a Data Center Sales Engineer will include:
- Focus on identifying opportunities within the Data Center environment
- Build and foster relationships with customers and lead pre-sales initiatives for the practice.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities by supporting Account Managers, the delivery team, and marketing initiatives.
- Pursue and participate in opportunities in both the public and private sectors.
- Work with our sales teams to raise awareness of practice strategy and offerings to drive revenue.
- Provide our customers with 100% success and be a true trusted advisor.
- Lead our Bids and Proposals initiatives as technical SME for Data Center opportunities.
- Exceed revenue and gross profit goals.
- Present solutions at customer meetings, trade shows, and Force 3 blogs and marketing.
Job Requirements
- At least 8+ years of solid pre-sales experience focused on Data Center solutions, architectures, and design.
- We should have a strong understanding of automation and orchestration specific to Data Center technologies to include open-source, including VMware Tools.
- Experience and current certifications in VMware, Dell/EMC and/or other relevant Data Center technologies.
- Experience in other technologies areas such as SAN, Backup Recovery, Switch, Security technologies and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).
- Must be able to explain public, private and hybrid cloud concepts. This is not a cloud developer role though the candidate should be able to design infrastructure to support workloads using cloud concepts.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to adapt to various business needs.
- Experience working with all organization levels including, engineering, operations, management, and executives.
- Must be abreast of industry trends and new technologies.
- Should have a conceptual and architectural understanding of virtualization concepts in the data center to include hypervisors, containers, NFV and network virtualization, HCI, VDI, and more…
- Experience developing and fostering key revenue-driven relationships.
- Must be capable of working well both independently or as part of a team.
- Data Center partner experience is a plus.
- Must have good leadership skills.
