Job Description
- Risk credit officer advice on any qualitative and quantitative risks of identify and assess threats, put plans in place for if things go wrong and decide how to avoid, reduce or transfer risks.
- Risk officer responsible for managing the risk to establish and monitor policies and procedures that will help meet its risk management goals.
- Monitoring and evaluating active accounts to reduce or prevent
- Keep policies and procedures current, and communicate them to senior management and to other affected parties.
- Monitor the costs to operate the credit and collection functions.
- Develop him/herself to be update to-date with new risk management to, accelerate the decision making process, and/or improve the quality and consistency of credit decisions.
- Review if there are any pending credits to be cleared by the senior management.
- Review if there are any credit limit excesses.
- Assess if provisions are up to date.
- Review if concentrations are within stipulated limits.
- Report all significant risks.
- Periodic credit risk reports to be presented to top management
- Conduct stress and scenario testing and analysis of portfolio at global levels.
- Ensure all transactions have full and proper documentation.
- Ensure credit protection is fully understood and utilized.
- Explore if there are any further possibilities of exploiting credit protection.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance
- 3-5 years of experience in risk departments in banks and/ or leasing and/or micro-financing companies
