Job Description
- Design Service Level Agreement draft and incentive/penalty scheme with various operational performance criteria viz. Crane Split, Productivity baseline/Targets, qualifying terms & conditions, incentive/penalty matrix etc.
- Design and prepare negotiation strategy with Procurement Manager while establishing Service Level Agreement framework
- Liaise with Marine & Scheduling Team to discuss and validate Operational Savings estimated from Service Level Agreements along with ML in-house requirements towards compliance
- To identify and define key performance parameters for the terminal, ports and feeder service providers
- To prepare and operationalize frameworks (like performance scorecards) to monitor the operational performance of the key marine vendors (terminal, ports and feeders)
- To work closely with the category managers, contract manager, execution teams in the LOC and the Center for the timely preparation of the scorecards
- To participate in the recurring performance review meetings with the key marine vendors
- To track and monitor the actions from the performance review with the key marine vendors
- To work with the Digital procurement team to drive automation and digitalization of the performance scorecards using tools like Microstrategy or PowerBI
- To work closely with the category managers in the negotiation preparation for the key marine vendors
- To share and incorporate the best practices on the supplier performance management with/from the other LOCs
- To actively assist in driving the category strategy for the terminals, feeder and ports
- To develop tools and templates on the supplier performance management
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in operations, procurement or terminal operations management or related supply chain management positions
- In depth working knowledge of ML vessel operation and productivity parameters including but not limited to Crane intensity, Idle time, Crane/Berth Productivity etc.
- Thorough knowledge of Maersk Line operation processes
- Strong communication skills towards all stakeholders and external vendors
- Strong networking skills and value-based self-conduct
- Perfect written & verbal communication skills
- Good presentation skills
- Strong command of the English language
- Analytical & has a solid understanding with data when proposing solutions or resolving disputes
- Ability to speak with data when proposing a solution
