Job Description
- Set the sourcing strategy for the assigned commodities
- Verifying Master Demand Schedules set by Marketing and communicates any deviations from set agreements/ordering policies.
- In charge of Capacity Requirement Planning (CRP) and highlights areas of bottlenecks that need tacking in order to meet demand.
- Responsible for Material Requirement Planning (MRP) ensuring harmonic synchronization with MPS and avoid stock-outs.
- Responsible for the creation of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and it’s communication with the Production department and any other related department/function.
- In charge of cost reduction related to Raw Materials & Finished Goods Stocks.
- Monitoring production performance in terms of On-Time In full (OTIF) and communication of these variances, through clear reports with action plans in order to avoid them from reoccurrence.
- Monitoring deviation/variance in forecasting; highlights & manages it with the Sales & Marketing Functions.
- Follows up with Procurement to ensure adherence to the delivery schedules agreed.
- Set alternative Plans in the case of deviation in market demand or production adherence; ensures that it is well communicated with all relevant departments/functions.
- Responsible for setting vendor schedules or call-offs where blanket orders and purchasing agreements are available.
- Ensures that all of the above are monitored with a sufficient reporting system and set metrics.
- Is involved in new product introduction; ensuring that the capacities are available and coordinates material needs according to the manufacturing policies that will be created.
- Responsible for evaluating the Planning team through yearly Performance Appraisals.
- Recommends/Sets a development plan derived initially from the performance appraisals to ensure subordinates' progression.
- Ensure that there is a succession plan in place.
- Participate, guide and support all department employees to contribute to performing the quality, environmental and occupational health& safety systems effectively.
- Support the role of the department to highlight its leadership on its responsibility areas for quality, environmental and occupational health& safety systems.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Engineering
- Years of experience: 5 – 7 years.
- Computer Skills: Very Good.
- Language skills: English: Very Good.
