Job Description
- Administers a variety of application systems including Oracle Servers, Javaboss server.
- Develop application server administration and user standards and procedures.
- Audits, modifies, and amends data in the server using Linux commands.
- Oversees the scheduling of the servers and transaction log backups, notifications, and replication between multiple Servers and remote sites.
- Evaluates application server integrity and security.
- Reviews technical designs, reports, documentation, and other materials produced by staff.
- Researching and implementing new application servers.
- Installing and maintaining application servers and all related software.
- Ensuring efficient migration, back-ups, recovery, reorganization, performance tuning and capacity planning.
- Providing technical support, troubleshooting consulting and management, and production support for application server administration.
- Managing and ensuring data security.
- Performing any other jobs assigned by direct manager.
- Troubleshooting all operational incidents.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree Computer science is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience.
- English language with Good writing and speaking skills.
- High knowledge on production working experience with JBoss Application Server.
- High knowledge of JBoss concepts, setup, and administration also, Ability to properly configure, tune, and slim a JBoss application server on Linux.
- Knowledge of Linux system administration as it pertains to managing JBoss.
- Good knowledge of Oracle application server 10g and WebLogic.
- Experience with Configuration management tools.
- Demonstrated experience in working within mixed OS environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team spirit.
- Highly motivated with an ability to handle work pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem solving skills.
