Job Description
Key Areas of Responsibility
- Monitor Health and SafetyHSE officers monitor incidents of injury, illness, and other situations within an assigned geographic area.
- Create ReportsHSE officers write reports detailing health and safety within their assigned research market.
- Develop StrategiesHSE officers design strategies to reduce incidents of illness, environmental accidents, and other issues that may affect public safety.
- Investigate
HSE officers go into the field to investigate environmental accidents and other public safety concerns within their market. They may also assign team members to investigate reported incidents.
- Design Training ProgramsHSE officers design training programs to provide safety awareness education.
- Establish and running system
- Supervise HSE in all plant and follow HSE standard
- New product and transfer: part of transfer team.
- New product: new equipment, define URS for HSE part, instillation and start-up.
- New Product: check that HSE is correctly define with new launch and transferred product.
- Training: Responsible for all Site team training related to HSE activates
- Prepare all emergence preparedness and crisis management planes , SOP’s and execution..
- Advise Senior Management on all legal and other requirements relating to health safety and environmental legislation in the work place.
- Ensure that there is suitable emergency procedures and equipment in place for dealing with emergencies such as fires and spillage
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2 - 3 years’ experience in an Environmental role within a manufacturing environment
- Holding a Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or other allied fields.
- Knowledge of and ability to use management concepts and principles including goal setting, planning and execution.
- IOSH, NEBOSH Qualified/Accreditations, HSE relevant trainings and qualified as an internal auditor. Preferred designation as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP / CMIOSH) or equivalent (IOSH & NEBOSH)
- Strong knowledge of relevant HSE principles.
- Ability to adhere to Company policies, procedures, guidelines and work requirements
- Ability to carry out incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Applications (Words, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).
- Documentation skills
