Job Description
- Establish, evaluate, and select suppliers to develop a qualified supplier base;
- Review and evaluate monthly global sourcing data to make decisions that support company direction and growth;
- Review bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority;
- Manage contracts to verify vendor compliance to contract requirements;
- Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action;
- Performance review of suppliers for quality, delivery and reliability;
- Establish long-term agreements with suppliers;
- Support major procurement activities including procurement of capital equipment and new projects;
- Maintain procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs,Perform cost analysis to identify opportunities.
- Execute on approved cost reduction projects. Maintain and measure cost reduction projects in VIP tracker. Work with suppliers to resolve price and invoice discrepancies.
- Monitor and drive supplier performance for assigned categories to ensure suppliers are meeting Polaris requirements for delivery and costing
- Help support part shortages and delivery issues when necessary
- Perform other such duties as may be required
Job Requirements
International Sourcing Specialist
- 5 to 7 years of experience in Medical supplies
- Bachelor Degree in business administration, supply chain management or international business
- (MBA is Preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of import regulations and documentations
- Experience in international exhibitions as visitor or exhibitor
- Previous work experience with manufactures and companies in Europe and Far East
- Fluent in English
- Negotiation Skills
- Communication Skills
- Excellent M.S office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
