Job Description

Purpose of role:

  • Manage all Castrol brand portfolio in Egypt and lead implementation of innovative brand offers & activities to deliver Brand Health objectives to underpin delivery of volume, turnover and gross margin targets across brands.
  • Ensures Brand communication is consistent and on equity in the given market to consumers, customers and through customers.
  • Work with the channel managers and sales teams to ensure value propositions are maintained or enhanced by channel & customer activation programs.
  • This role is also responsible for implementing the marketing programs through the local distributor team (TAQA). The marketing programs should enable these countries to achieve volume, Turnover and Gross margin goals in year, within the defined annual marketing budgets.
  • Development of the Egypt Brand Marketing Plans across aftermarket cars and trucks, adopting and adapting global brand strategies and programmes. This includes communication roll out, consumer facing activations and retail marketing programs.
  • Leads development of engagement strategy for consumers including Media planning to deliver Media KPIs and post evaluation of media campaigns with special focus on leveraging and building capability in Digital media
  • Ensures that all brand communication to & through customers are on brand strategy and comms guidelines.
  • Recommends list price and NHF prices for the PCO portfolio, working closely with MEKSA Marketing team. Leads pricing recommendation for new product launches in the country in line with IPP principles and pricing DOAs.
  • Creates New Product launch plans in market and gains alignment with country marketing tags, channel Marketing Team and sales teams and is accountable for PBA implementation in country.
  • Executes global and local sponsorship assets in country ensuring maximum usage and coverage through PR, digital and traditional media.
  • Drives Marketing automation leveraging digital best practices such as Campaign Management Tools, Content Management etc.
  • Responsible for all the market spaces & brand P&Ls. Identifies opportunities to deliver incremental gross margin growth through cost reduction and/or volume growth opportunities and manages quarterly Brand reviews to ensure delivery of Brand Health and Financial metrics versus plan.
  • Accountable for ASP for Egypt, and influences brand ASP plans for growth markets.
  • Implement global marketing plans by providing objective evidence and support material, powerfully articulating cluster view in global networks and project teams.
  • Lead, develop and manage the distributor marketing organization as required.
  • Lead on accelerating the Egypt Business Plan and thereafter the annual marketing plans.
  • Accountable for implementing the marketing calendar as per agreed planner, with support from brand and channel activation managers.
  • Build a close working relationship with the MEKSA S&M team to influence the distributor sales and marketing organization and ensure strategy implementation.

Job Requirements

Experience & Expertise
Educational background

  • MBA or other postgraduate degree in a marketing related field.

Experience:

  • 8-10 years of strong brand experience in B2C Marketing preferably within any of the following industries: FMCG, lubricants, or automotive industry.
  • Expert in Digital & Social Media campaigns - it is a must have requirement
  • Proven MNC (multinational) brand management experience is needed
  • Significant experience in disciplined brand campaign execution.
  • Experience of working with global advertising, media buying & research agencies.
  • Trade and channel management experience of minimum 3 years is mandatory.
  • Experience in disciplined marketing campaign execution.
  • Experience of independently managing a business line or brand portfolio with responsibility for generating top line growth, margin management and cost efficiency will be an added advantage.
  • Experience of working in a matrix organisation.
  • In country travel as & when required.
  • Language: Proficiency in Arabic & English is a must.
