Job Description
Main Job Duties:
- Ultimately accountable for the maintenance of infrastructure availability, development, and reliability.
- Ultimately accountable for maintaining and developing continuous integration / continuous delivery(CI/CD) processes.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to prioritize and plan team objectives, strategy, and roadmap to align with the company priorities .
- Manage the DevOps personnel's performance and velocity in all teams either directly or through leads.
- Strategically plan and lead the execution of DevOps work such that it's aligned with company and development goals .
- Maintain and develop SLAs and observability metrics.
- Manage team hiring and attrition.
- Enable teams to delivery deadline and maintain a delivery cadence.
- Ensure consistent bookkeeping and documentation of development work.
- Represent DevOps communication with other departments.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of technical development and operations experience.
- 2+ years of people management experience .
- Experience in AWS stack and Jenkins is a huge plus.
- Strong technical knowledge of software and cloud architecture and design.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to build rapport and form alliances.
- Able to approach problems logically, research options, avoid biases and focus on meaningful data to draw the right.
- Experience in managing a team's performance and KPIs.
- Excellent understanding of web-based software development, architecture, and compatibility requirements.
- Able to identify weak areas on the team and create new job roles that fill those weaknesses.
- Have the skills required to identify and acquire good talents for related technical roles.
- Have the skills required to identify low performers and build improvement plans .
- Communicate effectively and timely as needed through different media.
- Broad experience in the common good and bad patterns and new strategies that may be used to get into new software development and operations support.
