Job Description

Main Purpose:

  • Responsible for the import process of all imported goods (such as raw materials, packaging materials, production lines and general supplies) to support Edita’s day to day and long term business requirements by custom duty/exemption, and any other government interaction related to custom clearance.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the team to improve communications and negotiations skills to get competitive shipping prices and reduce handling cost by communicating the suppliers with the required documents and labels according to the updated Egyptians regulations to avoid any demurrages or extra charges. Control the transportation costs against the budget, present periodic saving reports.
  • Responsible for accomplishing the plan and Liaise between customs, suppliers and relevant internal departments; in particular working closely with the Purchasing and Logistics departments enabling them to achieve their deadlines.
  • Enhance team’s productivity to implement inbound, outbound and domestic custom processes (day to day) including urgent and irregular shipments to improve logistics efficiency.
  • Provide the Management with best-in-class customs information and Egyptian regulations for customs, clearance and transportation, advisory services and recommended action plan to support the organization in taking the right decisions for the expansions plans.
  • Responsible of controlling the compilation, application and refund of all duty exemptions, with minimizing the impacts/penalties
  • Manage the custom clearance agencies to insure their performance according to Edita standards & delivery dates requirements & locate new sources
  • Undertake continuous analysis of the regulatory environment, with particular regard to trade tariffs/duties and trade restrictions/requirements, and communicate them in a clear and concise way to other departments within the company

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business
  • Experience: 5-7 year of experience in a similar field.
  • Languages: Perfect command of English language (Speaking, reading and writing).
