Job Description
- Update, develop and maintain the list of company foreign suppliers.
- Negotiate with suppliers on their prices and offers.
- Prepare purchase orders, and update them on company database.
- Provide the department of Finance with any price changes on foreign materials.
- Follow up on the execution of all purchase orders.
- Monitor and supervise the order and selection of services provided by suppliers.
- Communicate changes in specifications and/or adjustments with suppliers.
- Ensure orders are acknowledged correctly.
- Revert back to suppliers in case something is missing or broken.
- Receive invoices from suppliers, verifying their correspondence with price list.
- Ensure that all purchase orders comply with company policy and procedures.
- Receive and accomplish the purchase requests from the department of the Planning including: machines, raw materials, etc.
- Maintain accuracy according to purchase procedures.
- Develop and implement cost saving plans and strategies.
- Resolve customs and couriers issues.
- Recommend improvements to cost and service effectiveness.
- Maintain regular visits/audits to suppliers.
- Evaluate suppliers’ performance and report it to management on a quarterly basis.
- Analyze current inventory to reduce carry costs.
- Follow up with clearing agents on the receipt of materials at the port of discharge.
- Arrange the discharging related matters with warehouse.
- Monitor ISO documentation requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree.
- Fluent speaking and writing English.
- 1 to 3 years of foreign purchasing experience is required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to network and negotiate.
- Exceptional judgment and decision-making skills.
- Strong maths and time management skills.
- Good Microsoft Office skills.
- Preferably lives near Heliopolis.
