Job Description
- Develop design concepts and specifications for multi-media graphic materials including, but
not limited to, web pages, social media sites, video, mobile applications, advertising, booklets,
brochures, forms, mailers, maps, signs, and posters. - Manage organization-wide graphic design needs and balance varying deadlines
- Maintain and update design guidelines and organizational brand standards
- Conceptualize and develop new creative concepts, graphics, and layouts
- Serve as project manager of our publications and digital media library
- Design and update templates for print publications, ads, collateral, presentations, event materials and more
- Develop and edit graphics for the web, including website banner art, digital advertising, and images for our social media channels and email newsletters
- Create infographics that transform data into digestible and shareable bites of information
- Help identify new photo needs and direct photoshoots
- Make necessary edits and design changes to infographics, charts and graphs and photography using Photoshop
- Work directly with printers and other vendors, and go on press checks as needed
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams across Marketing
- Manage freelancers on additional design projects
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and technologies
- Assist and contribute to other related areas of interest, including video editing and animation
- Handle and post to social media accounts
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-7 years of graphic design experience
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
- Creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
- Highly organized with a strong background in wisely prioritizing and managing a high-volume, fast-paced workflow
- Experience working closely with and/or supervising freelancers or other designers on a team
- Ability to communicate clearly and present ideas, and comfortable receiving and giving feedback
- Up to date with industry-leading software and technologies (Adobe Creative Cloud, namely InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
- Ability to edit photography and provide art direction for photoshoots
- A strong understanding of how to use different file formats, resolutions and color profiles
- Adept at accessing, interpreting and incorporating key data points
- Ability to juggle multiple deadlines and projects
- A self-starter who works with a sense of action and urgency
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Polished professionalism in verbal and written communications
- Additional skills a plus, but not required:
- Video editing capabilities using After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Final Cut
- Ability to shoot photography and videography
- Basic knowledge of HTML
- Experience using content management systems
- Email template creation and editing experience within Salesforce Marketing Cloud/ExactTarget or similar email systems
- Animation/motion graphics experience
