Job Description
- Yumamia is looking for a self-motivated Front-End Developer possessing the art of web programming and design. Web design knowledge should enable the candidate to translate designs into structured code. Candidate should also posses an in-depth understanding of different techniques and concepts as well as responsive designs.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Translate designs into HTML code that will produce visual elements for the application.
- Develop new user-facing features.
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
- Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- 3-5 years of solid UI Developement experience.
- Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
- UI frameworks (Foundation & Twitter) and responsive design experience is a must.
- Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS is a plus.
- Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
- Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image. Familiarity with tools such as Photoshop is a plus.
- Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git / SVN.
- Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
