Job Description
- The Informatics Engineer will work as part of a team to empower the organization to leverage data-driven decisions.
- You’ll work very closely with a host of business stakeholders, helping them translate their questions into research projects, carrying out the research, presenting the results and making recommendations to improve the business.
- You’ll need to leverage your technical expertise and utilize any tool necessary to help derive new insights.
- Focusing on the impact made, you’ll work in a fast-paced environment, supporting multiple departments and executives in the company.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science Engineering or relevant study
- 4+ years of Business Intelligence/Data Engineering experience
- Good understanding of data models, structures and governance
- Data Science and Big Data Analytics Diploma is a plus
- Sound knowledge of data performance and data security
- Awareness of ethical aspects of data
- Previous experience with data warehousing, data modelling concepts and building new DW tables
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and executing presentations of technical and business level data
- Utilize blended data from multiple data sources to provide comprehensive reporting solutions
- Knowledge of working with an enterprise data warehouse and large sets of data
- Extensive experience with relational databases both, normalized and denormalized star schemas
- .Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts
- Experience in ETL and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex data sets
- Fundamental understanding of Business Intelligence architectures and exposure to many platforms, languages, applications, and frameworks (R, Python, Perl, C++, Java, API’s, JSON, XML, HTML5/CSS, PHP, SQL, JIRA, OBIEE)
Tools:
- SQL & NoSQL SB
- Working experience with Tableau and ETL tools such as Alteryx, Pentaho or Informatica
- Advanced working experience of data mining using SQL, ETL, data warehouse as well as Excel
- Amazon Redshift and Amazon Web Services: Glue, Lambda, S3, and Athena
