Job Description
The web designer creates the look, layout, and features of a website, landing pages, webpages, Facebook pages, banner ads and other. The job involves understanding both graphic design and computer programming. Once a website is created, a designer helps with maintenance and additions to the website.
The designer needs imaginative flair, awareness of current fashions and trends in the visual arts, working knowledge of the latest computer packages, automation technologies, and an understanding of material costs and time limits, all of which can impact on the design.
Job responsibilities include the following:
- Writing and editing content
- Designing webpage layout
- Determining technical requirements
- Updating websites
- Creating back up files
- Solving code problems
- Adaptation, resizing and finalizing of print files
- Working with a variety of digital platforms and technologies
- Generating company’s and clients’ communication material including web and print.
- Multi-tasking is a must requiring planning and time management.
- Working within tight timelines.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Excellent English and Arabic language skills
- Fundamentals of design imaging
- Web design, animation and multimedia design
- Content Management
- Editing for video and audio
- Basic Programming
- Proficiency in Illustrator, Photoshop, Adobe Flash, Adobe Indesign
- Knowledge in offset printing, color separation
- Copy writing skills
- PHP, CFM, ASP are a plus.
- Proven graphic design skills for both online and printed media.
- Project management skills and ability to deliver on simultaneous projects.
- Creativity within the definitions of the Identity and respect for its limits
