Job Description

A multinational petroleum company is looking for Marketing Team leader;

Job Purpose

  • Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Marketing Team Leader is responsible for all aspects of delivering marketing excellence for the company.
  • The aim is to build a good understanding of the market through the collection and analysis of data, to develop and implement marketing plans that support the business in achieving ambitions.

Principal Accountability

  • Assists in the Development of Strategic Plans and annual financial budgets for the company.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of marketing plans and strategies to ensure delivery of Volume Targets and profitability.
  • Ability to analyse VOM “Voice of Market” and derive marketing programs in response to market need.
  • Accountable for the spend effectiveness of Marketing Funds ( by ensuring that marketing plans are focused behind growth and contain the right mix of marketing activities.
  • Accountable for development of business cases and Post investment reviews for programs in the marketing calendar as marketing process
  • Identifies the need for customer engagements, Training to improve implementation of Sector Strategy, CVP and Initiatives..
  • Responsible for the development of tools, processes, and communication to customers to support X-selling & Premium Up- selling.
  • Agency Management and review to ensure accurate implementation of programs.
  • Gathers and maintains competitor intelligence through multiple sources, and report on competition and market trends.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of the company brand/product communication and support material including the website, literature material, POS, exhibitions, product launches, ATL, BTL, and sponsorship programmes.
  • Ensures all material are consistent and in line with company’s brand positioning and objectives

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements :

  • University degree with 4+ years of experience in a similar capacity.
  • Candidates with an Oil & Gas, petrochemical industry or FMCG industry will have a preference.
  • Excellent computer literacy.
  • Excellent knowledge of various software required for financial modelling and report writing.
  • Self-motivated with Professional and positive approach.
  • Able to work independently and in teams.
  • A high level of problem-solving to support the company marketing goals.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills in reviewing a company’s financial and sales performance and recommending corrective action where necessary.
  • Market Segmentation, Marketing Research skills.
