Jupiter Commz is a PR and Communications Agency based in Mohandeseen – off Lebanon Square – so candidates must be willing to commute should they be far away from Mohandeseen. We are looking for a passionate experience Media Relations Manager with exposure and experience dealing with local, regional and international media.
MEDIA RELATIONS MANAGER - JOB DESCRIPTION
- Ensure that the agency’s clients’ reputation is protected and promoted in a proper, coordinated, and consistent manner.
- Proactively monitoring activities and situations so as to detect issues before they emerge, particularly those issues which could impact negatively on clients’ reputation.
- Devise appropriate plans and strategies to address these effectively. (Crisis Management)
- Initiate ideas for proactive stories, develop them, devise communication plans and secure positive coverage for clients.
- Generate periodic reports about the media scene and analyze
- Cultivate and enhance collaborative working relationships within the press and publicity community.
- Generate ideas to engage the media through social and digital media.
- Manage the flow of news about clients to the media.
- Gather and disseminate timely information to press.
- Optimize communication system to enhance accuracy of communication.
- Enhance effectiveness of internal media team
- Develop relationships with local, regional and international media contacts.
- Lead Media Relations teams of executives, officers and interns.
- Plan and oversee press events.
- Detect public relations issues as they emerge and address them directly.
- Research and write briefing materials.
- Assemble press kits.
- Compose and edit press releases, company literature, and articles for internal and external use.
Job Requirements
Required:
- Minimum 4 years of work experience
- All candidates must have strong English written and speaking skills
- Have previous experience in leading a team
- Strong contacts and relationships with regional and international media
- Capable of strategic planning and putting together a comprehensive offline and online media plan with rationale and budgeting
- Ability to develop media angles and proactive in proposing alternative media opportunities beyond traditional press releases
Project management skills is a plus
- Willing to work additional hours when need arises usually around events, conferences etc
- Official working hours are 9.30 am to 5.30 pm Sunday – Thursday
- Must be well read and informed of the most important industries and the overall communications and media scene and landscape in Egypt.
- Energetic, passionate about Public Relations and is looking for a place to add value while also learn
- Good writing and editing skills (Arabic and English)
