Job Description
- Ensure that the work instructions are done as agreed with his foremen in order to achieve the target of the team.
- Execute the planned preventive maintenance as planned with best quality in order to eliminate/ decrease down time.
- Give necessary coaching for technician in order to decrease repair time and increase quality of work.
- Follow the SOP’s of all tasks done in order to keep the refinery as a standard work area.
- Follow with the team the JSP, JSA and risk assessment of all tasks in order to prevent/eliminate incidents.
- Keep high level of GMP on handling systems, packing workshop and packing areas.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements, using rules, callipers, micro-meters, and other measuring instruments.
- Installation, Pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up of new equipment.
- Test and inspect work-pieces after machining, by checking dimensions, total indicator readings and surface finish.
- Uses v-block to check old shafts TIR to decide to re-use or send to junk.
- Monitor equipment performance by different tools such as portable vibration devices, heat guns and by personal senses such as hearing, touching.
- Apply preventive maintenance activities properly
- Uses hand tools such as grinding machine, cutting wheel in order to cure any deformation in parts.
- Detects defected tools and reports in order to junk, and supply new safe-tools
- Lubricates and cleans parts.
- Make required gaskets by hand scissors, cutting blades, etc..
- May set up and operate drill, press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Have solid background and experience in handling and rigging tools such as chain hoist, slings, overhead cranes, monorails in order to handle heavy materials and equipment safely.
- Occasionally lead constructing safe scaffolds for non-accessible areas in order to execute maintenance work in high quality.
- Spotting potential improvement chances and study them carefully from all aspects and apply and study the case after implementation
Job Requirements
- Experience in the field of Mechanical Maintenance for static and rotating equipment in an industrial organization (continuous operation).
