Job Description

  • Works within a given budget to purchase goods and services for an organization (outside College premises)
  • Ensures that products are delivered in a timely manner and that the quality of the goods received is satisfactory
  • Orders goods such as office supplies on a continuing basis in order to maintain certain inventory levels
  • Coordinate with user departments and suppliers
  • Checks invoice for accuracy and authorize the accounts payable department to issue payment
  • Evaluates the performance of certain vendors in order to decide whether to continue buying from them or not
  • Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of cost calculation and projects
  • Inventories items in order to determine which ones need to be purchased
  • Enters data concerning inventory and order amounts into a computer database
  • Generating reports and comparisons when needed
  • Oversees the purchasing loop from the purchase request to the delivery of items to college
  • Follow up with vendors and suppliers regarding the college’s orders

Job Requirements

  • Fluent English
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 – 6 Years of experience
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and priorities work
  • Very good in MS Office skills
  • Excellent Negotiation skills
