Job Description
- Works within a given budget to purchase goods and services for an organization (outside College premises)
- Ensures that products are delivered in a timely manner and that the quality of the goods received is satisfactory
- Orders goods such as office supplies on a continuing basis in order to maintain certain inventory levels
- Coordinate with user departments and suppliers
- Checks invoice for accuracy and authorize the accounts payable department to issue payment
- Evaluates the performance of certain vendors in order to decide whether to continue buying from them or not
- Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of cost calculation and projects
- Inventories items in order to determine which ones need to be purchased
- Enters data concerning inventory and order amounts into a computer database
- Generating reports and comparisons when needed
- Oversees the purchasing loop from the purchase request to the delivery of items to college
- Follow up with vendors and suppliers regarding the college’s orders
Job Requirements
- Fluent English
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 – 6 Years of experience
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and priorities work
- Very good in MS Office skills
- Excellent Negotiation skills
