Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities .
1. General Administrative Duties
- Conduct periodic quality meetings with subordinates to ensure that priorities are clear and that the workflow is running smoothly as per agreed daily, weekly and monthly plans.
- Prepare periodic QC reports regarding the project activities and achievements to be submitted to the Corporate QC Manager and employer/engineer on weekly and monthly basis.
- Carry out performance appraisals for subordinates according to the planned schedules and recommends necessary actions as per the adopted procedures.
- Performing other duties related to the job as assigned by the Corporate QC Manager.
2. Technical Duties
Principally but not necessarily limited to:
- Responsible for all aspects of the project related to Quality Control, and the overall implementation of the QMS at project site.
- Ensuring that Inspection Requests (IR’s) procedure is implemented and relevant logs are maintained.
- Ensure that all construction activities are undertaken as per approved drawings / method statements and ITP’s. This includes appropriate surveillance to ensure that appropriate documents are present at the right locations.
- Review of materials submittals to ensure compliance with specified requirements.
- Ensure all materials delivered to site are inspected and conform to the specified requirements.
- Management and development of quality control personnel.
- Completion of necessary documentation to verify the works performed.
- Liaise with the supervision Consultant for daily inspections.
- Ensuring all test reports are verified to meet the Contract requirements.
- Issuing of Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) and follow-up of appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Preparation and submission of QC reports and maintaining QC records for project completion and handover.
- Working with purchasing staff to ensure quality requirements are met by external suppliers.
- Determination of adverse quality trends and taking necessary action(s), in conjunction with others as appropriate, to address emerging issues.
Job Requirements
1. Minimum Required Education
- BSc in civil Engineering (governmental university ) ISO, TQM, Lean Construction, Six Sigma, or other QC-related certification is an asset.
2. Language Proficiency
- Proficient in Arabic and English language; professional and technical.
3. Minimum Professional Experience
- 10+ years of experience in related field (s).
- Similar Position : +3 years .
- Outside Egypt Experience : +2 years .
